I don't believe there's such a thing as "love at first sight." I think if you truly make that initial connection, simply by looking, and you get that feeling that you "just know", you definitely have something, but it's not love. How can you make such an encompassing assumption about someone simply by looking at them? The only thing you have to go on is their physical appearance. You can't possibly know anything about their emotions, their personality, or their masterfully woven and beautifully mysterious soul. How can someone claim to love a person and not intimately know these things?
Personally, I won't even say I "like" someone until I've gotten at least a glimpse of these things. Anything less is simply physical, material, and, ultimately, lustful. Lust is an absence of love. Lust is purely physical. So if you think you have that magical, fated connection, you don't know what love is.
